To the clerk of the peace of & for the county palatine of Lancaster or his lawful deputy I William Taylor of Coppull in the county of Lancaster yeoman in pursuance of the late Act of Parliament instituted an Act to oblige papists to register their names & real estates do by this writeing under my hand devise you or one of you to register my name & estate herein after mentioned in the manner & words following viz: William Twylor of Coppull in the county of Lancaster yeoman whereas I the said William Taylor hold a messuage & tenement with the appurtenances in Coppull aforesaid now in the possession of William Foole under the yearly rent of fourteen pounds ten shillings taxes & repairs to be allowed by a lease from Sir Alexander Rigby Knt for the remaining part of a certain term of ninety nine years if I the said William Taylor James Twylor & William Taylor sons of Oliver Taylor or any of us shall so long live under the yearly rent of nineteen shillings four pence which said premises are subject to two shillings eight pence and a chief rent of forty shillings a rent charge William Taylor [LRO PDP 2/5/22] |
