Agreed this 29th of March 1779 between Joseph Haydock Boardman Esq of Manchester of the one part and Thos Hawkshead of Heskin gentleman of the other part. In consideration of the s’d sum of nine hundred and fifty pounds paid in hand by the Thos Hawkshead unto the said Joseph Boardman he the said Joseph Boardman promises that he and all persons interested therein shall and will at the payment aforesaid grant and convey unto unto the said Thos Hawkshead or to such other person as jh shall [torn] all that messuage and tenement with the appurtenances called Fishers and Ugnells together with the roe heys thereto ajoining the whole contains thirty five acres of land at 8 yards to the perch be the same more or less free and clear from all incumbrances whatsoever the whole lyes in Coppull. The common conveyances to be made & prepared at the expence of the purchaser but if any fine or recovery is necessary to cpmpleat the title the sellor to be at the expence thereof the sellor to receive the last half years rent now due and the purchaser to entre upon the present possession of the said premises Witness our hands Joseph Boardman Thos Hawkshead
