In the Name of God Amen the Twentith day of Aprill in the yeare of our Lord God one Thousand six hundred seventy & six And in the eight & twentith yeare of the Reigne of our Sovreigne Lord Charles the second by the grace of God king of England Scotland France & Ireland defender of the Faith &c I Robert Foster of Coppull in the County of Lancr Tannr being weake in body butt of a sound & pfect memory praised be God for the same doe make & ordaine this my Last Will and Testamt in mannr & forme following First I comend my soule into the hands of Almighty God my maker desireing the pdon & remission of all my sins through the mediacion of Jesus Christ & my body to xtian buriall att the discretion of my execrs hereafter named And as for & concerning all that close closure or pcell of Land wth th' appurtennce scituate lying & being in Charnock Richard wherein I stand possessed & lawlly Interessed unto me my execrs admrs & assignees For & dureing the terme of Fowerscore & nyneteene yeares determinable upon the lives of Wm Foster Richard Foster & James sons of me the said Robert Foster and of the survivor of them By force & virtue of a demise or lease bearing date the twenty Fowerth day of June in the thirteenth yeare of his Mat yes Reigne that now is made by John Hoghton of Parke Hall Esq to me the said Robert Fostr I give and devise the same in mannr & forme following vizt the moyetie or one half part thereof I give devise & bequeath unto Elizabeth now wife of me the said Robert Foster & her assignes for & dureing the terme of her Nrall life If the said origll lease doe soe long continue in force And the othr moyetie of the said close or pcell of Land As alsoe that moyetie of the said Close Lymitted to the said Elizabeth ymediatly from & after her decease I give devise & bequeath unto my eldest sonne Wm Fostr his execrs admrs & assignes for & dureing all the rest & residue & {illegible} the said terme of Fowrscore & Nyneteene yeares Granted by the said origll lease and wch shall then be to come & unexpired And as for & concerneing my Temporall Goods Cattells Chattells & psonll Estate whatsoevr I Give devise & bequeath the same in mannr & forme followinge First I will & devise that my debts & funerall expences & the charges of the probate of this my will be paid forth & out of the same And after the paymt therof I give & bequeath unto my sonne William Foster the fire Grate in the hawse wherein I now dwell wth the Tongs Crowe & othr appurtencs belonging to it the Great Cjist in the coule kitching and the Cubboard in the Buttery Itm I give & bequeath unto my sonne Richard Foster one Bedsteed in the Buttery Chambr And the rest residue & Remaindr of my Goods Cattells Chattells & psonll Estate whatsoever I will & devise that the same be Divided into Three Equall pts, one pte whereof I Give & bequeath to Elizabeth my Loveing wife Another pte Whereof I Give & devise to Richard Foster Anne Foster Ellen Fostr Margarett Foster & Elizabeth Foster yaungI' Children of me the said Robert Equally to be divided amongst them pte & pte like And the Third pte Whereof I Give & devise to Anne Foster Ellen Foster Margarett Foster & Elizabeth Foster my daughtrs Equally to be divided amongst them pte & pte like And I doe Constitute ordaine nominat & appoint my sonne Willm Foster & Elizabeth my Loveing wife Execrs of this my Last Will & testamt hopeing they will truly pforme the same In witnesse whereof I the said Robte Foster have hereunto sett my hand & seale the day & yeare first above=written
