In the name of God Amen I Richard Towneley of Coppull in the county of Lancaster gentleman do make this my last will and testament in manner and form following first it is my will and mind that all my just debts funeral expences and probate of this my last will and testament be first paid Then I give the legacies to witt to my mother Townley the sum of two hundred pounds also I give to my brother Edmund Townley the sume of twoe hundred pounds also I give to my sister Margaret Townley the sume of one hundred pounds aldo I give to my nephew Richard Townley son of my sister Ann Townley deceased the sum of one hundred pounds and as for and as concerning all the rest residue and remainder of my personal estate I give and dispose of unto Francis my now loveing wife she seeing my just debts paid which said legacies it is my will and mind that my executors after named shall pay the same within twelve months after my decease. And I do hereby nominate and appoint Robert Leghe of Chorley Gentleman and John Holden of Haversham Heys executors of this my last will and testament hoping they will see the same performed as my trust is in them. In witness I have hereunto set my hand and seal this nineteenth day of July in the year of out Lord one thousand seven hundred and thirty seven.
