IIn the name of god Amen the eight daye of Februarie in the sixtynth yeare of the Reigne of our Soveraigne lord James by the grace of god king of England France and Irland defender of the faith &c And of Scotland the two and fiftieth Annoq dni 1618 I Richard Pilkington of Coppull in the Countie of Lancr. yeoman being visited with sickness of body but of a good & pfect Remembrance I praise god for it, doe publish amd make this my last will and testament in manner and forme followeing vizt First and principally I doe give and bequeth my soule into the hands of almightie god my Maker and redeemer trusting in the Merritts of Jesus Christ my Saviour to be one of his ellect Sts in the kingdome of heaven And my body to be buried att my parish Church of Standish And for such goods as allmightie god hath lent me my mynd and will is and doe give and bequeth theme as followeth (that is to saie) I give and bequeth unto my Sonne Hugh Pilkington the some of xxli according to a certayne grant made in a certayne aquitance betweene us bearing date the xxvth daye of July in the yeare of our lord god 1618 Item my mynd and will is that my Buriall expences and all the chardges in and aboute or concerninge the same And all ------ & fees bee taken forth of my whole goods And all the rest of my goods moveable & Imoveables of what degree or qualitie soever the same bee or in whose handes soever the same remayne I doe freely and absolutely give and bequeth the same unto Alice Pilkington my daughter to have and enjoy the same for ever And I doe constitute and make Roger Bowlinge of Charnock Richard and James Hulme of Shevington in the said countie yeoman my true and lawfull executors to execut and pforme this my last will and testament as my trust is in them thus(?) trusting in god to Rest with god and his Sts for ever I cease putting heareunto my hand and seale the daye and yeare first above written in the presents of those persons heareunder written

Moreover my mynd is and I give unto Hugh Pilkington my sonne one stone sestrane standing in the fould Item I give him more the great arke in the stable
