Ralph Low 1737

In the name of God Amen. I Ralph Low of Coppul in the county Palatine of Lancaster Tanner do make this my last will and testament in manner following that is to say, first I give and bequeath to Sarah my loveing wife all such houshold goods and ffurniture as I became entitled to and had and received upon my intermarriage with her and also thirty shillings in money to be paid to her out of my personal estate, and it is my will and mind, that the residue and remainder of all and every my goods chattels and personal estate be applyed in and towards the discharge of my debts and funerall expences and that so much and such part of my said debts and funeral expences as the residue of my personal estate will not extend to pay be raised and paid forth out of my messuages lands tenements and real estate and I hereby desire authorize and impower my executors hereafter named and the survivors and survivor of them to sell and absolutely to dipose of all or any part of my messuages lands tenements and real estate in order to raise money to pay and discharge such part of my said debts and funeral expences as my personal estate shall fall short of paying and the legacies hereafter mentioned And I give to my daughter Ellen (wife of Joseph Taylor) ten pounds, to my executors one guinea apiece, to my son John five shillings, And I give and devise one full moiety or half of all and every my messuages lands tenements hereditaments and real estate that shall remain after payment of my debts legacies and ffuneral expences and which shall not be sold and disposed of for that purpose to my daughter Alice (wife of Thomas Preston) her heirs and assigne for ever And the other moiety and full half thereof I nominate and appoint my said sons in law Joseph Taylor and Thomas Preston and my good friend John Haydock of Standish in the said county gentleman executors of this my last will and testament In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this twenty third day of December in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and thirty two Signed sealed and published by the said Ralph Ralph Low Low the testator for and as his last will and testament in the presence of us who subscribed our names as witnesses thereto in his prsence Nich: Woosey Tho: Grimshawe Saml: Prescott
