Below is a graph showing the population of Coppull. The figures before 1767 are estimates. The rectors of Standish conducted their own detailed censuses of the whole of Standish parish, including Coppull, in 1767, 1794 and 1833, and there were ten yearly censuses from 1801 onwards.

Population doubled between the 1760s and the turn of the century and many new occupations related to industry started to enter into the registers of Standish and Coppull at the time.
