To the right wors[hi]pps his maj[es]ties justices of the peace for the county palatine of Lancr at the generall quarter sessions held at Wiggan for the hundred of Leyland and Derby the twentieth day of January Anno Ami 1689

 The humble peticion of Peter Bibby of Lathom husb[andman] sheweth

 That whereas your peticioner hath lived in Lathom abover forty weeks as a servant with William Rutter of Lathom aforesd and during the said time was never disturbed but had a quiet settlem[en]t until about three weeks agoe att which time the said William Rutter tokeather with some other of the inhabitants of Lathom did turne him out of his service and would not lett him inhabit any where in the sd towne

 Therefore your peticioner numbly desires your worshipps to take his condicion into consideracion and order him a quiet settlem[en]t in Lathom. And he is in duty bound will ever pray &c.
