Manor Tenants 1812

The following list of tenants of the manor of Coppull is taken from the documents relating to the sale of the manor in 1812. The plot references refer to the map which accompanied those documents and is available here. The original documents are in Wigan Records Office. The originals also give the name and acreage of each of the fields shown on the map, together with other information likely to be of interest to potential buyers, such as the evidence for coal under each of the plots, etc.
