In the name of God amen I John Slater of Coppull in the county of Lancaster husbandman being weak of body but of good and perfect memory praised be God for the same do constitute ordain and make this my last will and testament in manner and form following.  First I commend my soul into the hands of almighty God my maker trusting that by the merits and passion of my savior Jesus Christ to be one of his elect children and to reign with him and his saints for ever. And my body I commend to my parish church at Standish amongst my ancestors in that Christian burial. And as for those goods which God of his mercy have bestowed upon me I bequeath them as followeth.  First my will and mind is that my debts and funeral expenses be discharged.  Secondly my will is that my goods be divided into three equal parts one part to my self second part to my wife and the third part to my children equally to be divided amongst them Mary Slater my eldest daughter having as good a part as any of the rest.  Item my will is that my own part be divided equally amongst my children Mary Slater having her part as in the former.  Lastly I appoint Margaret Slater my wife and Robert Foster my true and lawful executors hoping that the[y] will see this my last will and testament duly executed as my trust is in them.  In witness whereof I the said John Slater have hereunto put my hand and seal the eleventh day of November in the year of our lord God 1670.
