To the worshipfull his ma[jest]ies justices of the peace &c quorum for this county at theire quarter sessions held at Wiggan the 17th day of January 1697

The humble petition of Elizabeth Smawley weedow of Coppull is that shee may have that allowance that was granted by Justice Crooke which was five pence per week & was duly paid for one whole yeare, and since easter last has but had three per week, and for one month three hapence per weeke

May it therefore please yor good woshipps to take it into your consideracion and order the overseers of the poor of Coppull aforesaid to allow her such releife as you in your discretion shall think convenient and your petitioner as in duty bound will ever pray
