|Edward Chisnall 1727|
In the name of God Amen I Sir Edward Chisnall in the county of Lancaster knt do make this my last will and testament in manner fold that is to say I give and bequeath unto my son William Chisnall the sume of sixteen hundred pounds which is owing to me upon a bond from my Lord Viscount Molyneux and others and also ffour hundred pounds which is owing to me upon a mortgage from Mr [?] Potter of or near Prescott in this county. I give and bequeath unto my son Edward the sume of three hundred pounds principale money that is owing to me by Mr [?] Edward Holland late of Wigan in the said county apothecary or his representatives and one hundred pounds principale oeing to me by Mr Henry Tyrer of Ormskirk. Unto my sister Walmisley of Bury one hundred pounds. Unto my nephew Evan Wall of Preston in the said county one hundred pounds. I give to my daughter Ann Hammerton the sume of six hundred pounds which is owing tome upon a mortgage by John Layland of Orrel Post nrea Upholland in the said county. And out of the residue of my personall estate I order the payment of my debts funeral expenses and probate hereof. All the rest and remainder of my goods chattels and personall estate of what nature or kind soever I give and bequeath the same unto xxx my said sons William & Edward xxx equally between them share and share alike. And further declared to be my mind and will that the arrears of interest that shall at my death be due upon the said securitys or any of [th][em shall be esteemed a part of the residuary part of my personall estate and be subject to such disposition thereof as I have before made. Lastly I revoke all former wills by me made and do publish and declare this to be my onely true & last will & testament and thereof nominate and appoint my said son William sole executor. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand & seal the second day of April Anno Dni 1726.
