U717 Publ Chetham Soc 3rd series vol XVIII Agreement for 12 years lease at 3s rent by the priory to Hugh and Adam sons of Andrew Hulelehe of part of the land which the priory had of the gift of Richard of Coppull; in length from the ancient ditch as far as Perburn, and in breadth from Watling Street to Blakelache, with common rights and appurtenances except the site of a mill and the water necessary for it. Hugh and Adam shall build within 3 years a competent house of 30 feet without aisles, the principal material being oak, and shall repair and maintain the barn there and cultivate all the land which is cultivable. At the end of the term both land and buildings revert to the priory. 1238
