 Att a private sessions of the peace holden att the house of William Watttson in Standish the 15 day of September Ano Regni Gulli et Marie [illeg] 1691

 Whereas Bridgett Isherwood of Coppull [is lately?] delivered of a bastard child which said child is likely to become chargeable to the said towne, and whereas itt appeareth unto us that the said Bridgett hath due to unto her & in the hands of William Cooper of Coppull aforesd the sume of two pounds eleven shillings wee do order & it is hereby ordered that the said Wm Cooper do forthwith pay the abovesd sume of two pounds eleven shillings to the hands of John Haydock and Richard Crook both of Coppull aforesd by them to be employed for & towards the maintenance of the said bastard child, deducting out of the said sume seven shillings, four shillings of which to be payed to Edmund Pennington of Worthington for meate & drink given to the said Bridget during her lying in & the other 3s to be paid unto Cicely wife of John Vause of Coppull aforesd for attending her the sd Bridget during the time of lying in the childbed. Given under our hands & seals the day and year abovesaid.
